I get asked all the time, "What's it like going to work so early"? Well, I thought I'd show you.

My day actually starts an hour EARLIER, at 2:45 when I wake up. I get dressed, and while I'm eating breakfast and having a cup of black coffee,  I check Twitter to see what is going on in the world.

This is the first step in what we call "show prep" or preparing the show.

After about 25 minutes of getting a gauge on what is happening in the world through the social media spectrum, I grab my coat and bag and hop in my car for the approximately 20 minute commute to work.

After I get to work - just what you saw in the video - I continue to prepare the show by going over the subjects we will cover on the show that day, uploading any audio clips, weather, and video. That takes about 90 minutes and then we are ready to start The Mike Show! on SoJO 104.9.

That's pretty much it in a very small nutshell.
