A cannabis dispensary in Egg Harbor Twp., Atlantic County, NJ is running a contest to give away a free pound of marijuana.

I never thought I'd see the day that a pound of pot could be legally given away, but that's exactly what one local cannabis shop is doing.

4/20 is coming, y'all. For marijuana fans, April 20th marks a true holiday. 4:20 p.m. ON 4/20? Well, you can expect there's going to be more than a lot of toking up.

The famous '420' origin story goes like this: Back in 1971, five high school kids in San Rafael, California reportedly 'used the term "4:20" in connection with a plan to search for an abandoned cannabis crop, based on a treasure map made by the grower', according to Wikipedia. 4:20 p.m. was the time students planned to meet up to go on their treasure hunt.

That story, I imagine, got passed down to future generations.
