Bachelorette Contestant Dies in Adventure Accident
Eric Hill, a contestant who will be seen on the upcoming season of ABC’s The Bachelorette, has died in a paragliding accident in Utah.
Hill was reportedly paragliding with friends near Point of the Mountain in Draper, Utah in Easter Sunday when the canopy of his paraglider collapsed about 20 feet from landing, sending him crashing into the mountainside.
Hill was unconscious but breathing when transported to the hospital with head trauma. As of April 22, Eric was listed in critical condition and placed in a medically-induced coma, but has died.
The adventure was not tied to the filming of the popular ABC series’ upcoming 10th season. Hill will be seen vying for the heart of single gal Andi Dorfman. The Bachelorette begins May 19.
