Fresh off the Harvard launch of her Born This Way Foundation, Lady Gaga has yet another reason to celebrate. No, it’s not her birthday either. That’s later this month, on March 28, when she turns 26. Right now, Gaga can throw her paws up and dance around the room because she has just notched 20 million Twitter followers. Make that 20,096,127 people are reading her tweets, as of press time.
Lady Gaga is reportedly set to make her film debut in the forthcoming ‘Men In Black’ sequel. While one might expect such news to come via a tweet from Gaga herself, word spread like wildfire on the web after franchise star Will Smith accidentally spilled the beans to a Brazilian website during a promotional trip to Rio last week.
A slew of sexy, black and white photos of Lady Gaga before she was famous (and not of the “She was young and needed the money” sort) have surfaced online. It’s safe to see that these photos mark the genesis of Stefani Germanotta transforming into her Gaga alter ego. Here, long, dark brown locks tumble down her back and she’s much less descript with her natural hair hue. Once she embraced blonde ambition, she stood out more. But one thing has not changed during the transition from Stefani to Gaga, as evidenced by the photos: her love of heels!
Move over, M.I.A. You’re not the only one who can give a one-finger salute at a major music event. Fresh off the aforementioned rapper’s bird-flipping incident during the 2012 Super Bowl Halftime, British diva Adele did the same at the BRIT Awards this evening (Feb. 21.) But while M.I.A.’s gesture seemed immature, out of place and a foolish attempt to grab a headline, Adele was merely reacting to being cut off when making her acceptance speech.
The coaches are eager to fill their teams with the required 12 singers, so spots filled up on Week 3 of the Blind Auditions of Season 2 of ‘The Voice.’ We see them still encouraging each other to push the button for singers they think are right for the other, with Christina Aguilera often encouraging Adam Levine and Cee Lo to push their giant buzzers, while Blake Shelton muses about contestants being good-looking.
The fourth of five black and white ‘You & I’ fashion videos has finally dropped. What took Lady Gaga so long to share No. 4? She last released one of these bad boys back on Sept. 21 and then they seemed all but forgotten, with the Haus of U clips destined to exist as a trilogy or a cliffhanger.
The fourth video, ‘Haus of U Featuring Jo’ has landed, with Gaga sulking as her male alter ego Jo Calderone.
Want to a hear a ‘Party Rock Anthem’ version of Madonna‘s popping new single ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’?’ Alright, your wish is our command. Check out this dope remix of Madge’s latest and greatest. It features LMFAO, who performed with the Material Girl at the 2012 Super Bowl during the halftime show last night (Feb. 5.) This is the official remix that was incorporated into Madge’s super entertaining show.
Calling all little monsters. Forget Facebook. Toss Twitter. Move on from MySpace, if you haven’t already. The Mother Monster AKA Lady Gaga is launching her own social networking site that is specifically designed to create a community among little monsters and that which will allow some communication with Gaga herself.
Madonna kept her promise to offer a clean show during her Super Bowl XLVI halftime performance. It was not oversexed or even PG-13 rated, which could have been expected, since Madge has been known to demonstrate a flair for the erotic throughout her career.
‘American Idol‘ hopeful Britnee Kellogg turned in an impressive performance of ‘You’re No Good,’ since it was fraught with emotion over her personal circumstances. She is a 27-year-old single mom with two boys, who was married to a basketball player whose needs she put ahead of her own. His name is Matt Conboy, and was apparently a philanderer who eventually cheated, rubbing a big dash of salt in her fresh wounds. The show made him sound like he was an NBA player a la LeBron James, but we did a little digging, and we think this is the guy.
The second season of ‘The Voice‘ kicks off on Feb. 5, right after the Super Bowl. After year of high ratings, press, promotion, hype and hanging out while seated in high-backed red space chairs, the coaches have come together for round two and they are celebrating with a Rolling Stone cover.
