Police in Gloucester Township have made an arrest in the September 20 shooting death of a woman housesitting for a friend.

Timothy Donnelly, of Elk Twp.,  was arrested Saturday night for the crime and charged with murder and several other offenses, GloucesterTownship.Patch.com reports.

Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk and Gloucester Township Police Chief Harry Earle believe 46-year old Donnelly is responsible for shooting Kathleen Korbel, 54 of Washington Township, who was housesitting for his mother on Mayflower Drive.

The shooting came as Donnelly was robbing Korbel of prescription medication, Faulk said.

Though his mother owns the home, authorities do not believe she was involved in Timothy Donnelly's alleged crimes.
