Cash went flying onto a New Jersey highway after it somehow broke free from an armored vehicle.

It happened Thursday morning on Route 3 in E. Rutherford. As soon as motorists realized there was money on the roadway, they stopped their cars, jumped out into the westbound lanes, and started grabbing what they could, 6abc.com reports. It looked like nature's money machine!

Unfortunately, the cash grab led to multiple accidents, as scene in the video below.

It is unknown how much dough ended up on the highway, or if those who managed to hold into some will be allowed to keep it, but reportedly authorities will attempt to track down the snatchers.

No word yet how the cash became unsecured from the Brinks armored truck in the first place, according to NBC News. But I'm gonna be honest, I can't say I wouldn't have done the same thing.
