5 Silly Superstitions on Friday the 13th

It is the final Friday the 13th for 2015! Typically it is a day that everyone tends to be weird about. Personally I see it as a lucky day since 13 happens to be my favorite number, just like Taylor Swift who was also born on the 13th day.

First things first, what is the actual name for fear of Friday the 13th? It's called paraskevidekatriaphobia - good luck trying to pronounce that! But over the years, Friday the 13th has been a day people avoid doing certain things out of fear of this unlucky day. Or, if you are a tattoo enthusiast it's the perfect day for you to get a cheap tattoo!

After today, we'll have to wait until May 13, 2016 for the next "unlucky" date, or in my case, my lucky date.

Well, that is a little extreme, guess I won't be trimming my split ends.

I can forget visiting New York for this weekend.

I think this qualifies as a superstition on ANY day.

A child born on Friday the 13th will be unlucky for life.
Or be extremely awesome.

If you walk under a ladder or if a black cat crosses you on Friday the 13th, you will have bad luck
Okay, how many ladders are people walking under? This isn't even a common occurrence. Also black cats happen to be adorable.
