The Farrelly Brothers are behind some pretty legendary flicks including Dumb and Dumber, Shallow Hal, Me, Myself and Irene, There's Something About Mary and the 2007 remake of The Heartbreak Kid.

Peter Farrelly embarked on a solo project in 2018 called 'The Green Book' which landed him an Academy Award for Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay.

Farrelly's next project is a movie based on the book 'The Greatest Beer Run Ever.'

It tells the amazing story of a Marine Corps veteran John "Chick" Donohue who will be played by Zac Efron.

Set in 1967, Efron's character attempts the unthinkable by traveling thousands of miles to give his friend a beer and messages from home in the middle of the Vietnam War.

Russell Crowe will play a journalist covering the Vietnam War.

Bill Murray will have a supporting role in the film.

According to Patch of Jersey City, filming will take place in Thailand and Jersey City.

Specific Jersey City locations haven't been revealed, but it's believed the two stars and the cast and crew will be in Jersey sometime in November to film.

'The Greatest Beer Run Ever' will stream on Apple+.

If you're looking for a good read, the book by Donohue and Joanna Molloy is an excellent read.

Jersey City seems to be a popular destination to film lately. Just last week, comedian Billy Eichner and a huge cast and crew were in the village area shooting for the upcoming romantic comedy "Bros" due in theaters next summer.
