You Can Spend a Weekend in a Tipi on the Jersey Shore
Looking for a unique weekend getaway close to home? Are you looking for something different, that you can brag to your co-workers about? Well, you can stay in a replica tipi right in Cape May. For just $84 a night you can impress your friends on Instagram. The Airbnb listing says, "Wake up your inner child for Beachcomber Camping Resort's newest, most unique camping experience... Camp in an authentic Sioux Indian replica TeePee!"
The Beachcomber Camping Resort on Seashore Rd in Cape May offers this unique experience. The tipi sleeps 6 people, which if you were to then split the cost, it would cost each person just $14 a night. Not too shabby.
According to their Airbnb listing, "Our TeePee sleeps 6, with 2 double beds under 2 single overhead beds." The tipi also has a microwave, coffee maker, box fan, and small fridge inside. Outside the tipi you have a picnic table, fire ring, deck, and grill.
The campground features 3 pools, a lake, bathhouse with showers, and washers/dryers.
The listing does say to bring your own bedding ie. sheets, blankets, sleeping bags, pillows, etc. You should also make sure you have towels and cooking utensils. You know, regular camping stuff.
The reviews on Airbnb are promising. One guest said, "...The campground had so much to offer and the staff was very friendly and accommodating...From pools to pottery, and tugboat rides and kayak rentals the resort definitely had enough to keep the kids occupied. The teepee was an interesting experience and I would definitely do it again..."
