Why Eagles QB Carson Wentz Owes Kicker Jake Elliott’s Money

If you watched the Eagles game this past Sunday, you know Jake Elliott kicked a 61-yard field goal to win the game. And while Elliott has been enjoying the fame, he might be enjoying the fortune, too.

The fortune comes from Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, who was wearing a microphone during Sunday's game. With practically no time left on the clock and the game on the line, Wentz said, "I’ll give him my game check if he makes it."

KYW-TV reports Elliott's salary is around the league minimum at $465,000. Wentz is working under four-year contract worth almost $27 million. His game check would be roughly $32,000.

So... will Wentz pay up?
