This tree on Philadelphia Ave. in Egg Harbor City always catches my attention, but more so recently.

It's interesting U-shape is visible from almost the moment you turn onto Philadelphia Ave. near the NJ Transit stop (technically it's probably on the Route 50 side of the White Horse Pike), and it's obvious tree trimmers trim AROUND the power lines, but have never cut down the tree which grows over the road.

So, I'm guessing maybe this particular tree has some historical significance? Is it being preserved for that reason?
