The Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots combined reach $980 million on Thursday, the highest total since October 2018.

In October 2018, the Mega Millions jackpot reached its all-time record of $1.537 billion, lottery officials said.

The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday night’s drawing has climbed to $510 million, and if won, it will be the eighth-largest jackpot in the game’s history.

Even though no one won the Mega Millions jackpot on Tuesday, there is a new millionaires in New Jersey.

The winner had five numbers, but missed the Mega number. The $1 million winning ticket in New Jersey was sold at Masso's Deli & Pizzeria in Gibbsboro in Camden County.

Saturday night’s drawing for the Powerball jackpot remains at $470 million, making it the tenth-largest jackpot in Powerball history if someone wins the prize.

This is only the third time that both games have simultaneously had jackpots larger than $400 million. If you choose the cash option, you could receive: $377.4 million in Mega Millions jackpot and $362.7 million in Powerball jackpot.
