According to a release from the company, effective 5 a.m. Friday, Wawa customers will not be able to serve themselves coffee. Instead, Wawa employees will serve the public.
As an additional safety measure, all self-service fountain beverages, Icee drinks, cappuccino, and iced coffee areas are closed to customers.
Finally, those looking to grab a bakery item must have a Wawa team member bag them.
For the health of employees and customers, Wawa will close all stores from 2 a.m. to 3 a.m. for deep cleaning. Crews will spend that time restocking stores.
