Wawa is the latest example of how our local community is giving back during these difficult times.

NJ.com reports that the Wawa Foundation has given $119,500 in grants to charities that have been working to feed those in need during the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic. Their outreach will help local families, as a $7,500 grant went to Fulfill (The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties).

Grants were given to 27 organizations in total - with 5 in New Jersey. The 22 other organizations are located in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Florida, and Washington, D.C.

Stories like this remind us of how powerful the local community can be during uncertain times.
