The Washington Township Minutemen are benefiting from Thompson's experience as a pro outfielder and hitting coach, according to 6abc.com.

Thompson played three non-consecutive seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies, and was a key component during the 1993 National League Championship Series that sent the Phillies to the World Series.

He rejoined the Phillies organization as a hitting coach from 2004 to 2010.

While the kids were busy with Milt, the Phillies have made their way to Clearwater, Florida for Spring Training to prepare for the upcoming season.
