Two Women Struck by Lightning on South Jersey Beach
Two women are hospitalized after being struck by lightning on Point Pleasant Beach in Ocean County.
TWO in one day! And it wasn't even that far apart from the other.
6ABC News reports, the first woman (62-years-old) was struck just before 3 p.m. on Saturday at New Jersey Avenue and the Beach.
Then, less than 10 minutes later the second woman (54-years-old) was struck on the 300 block of Ocean Avenue, according to 6ABC.
I mean seriously what are the chances? Reportedly, the second woman was sitting in her car when she was struck by lightning.
Both women are currently at Ocean Medical Center and are expected to fully recover.
All I'm thinking now is that I was right to be paranoid to be stuck outside during a thunderstorm.
Be safe everyone!
