Two teenagers - 14 and 16 years old - were arrested in Atlantic City after each was found with a loaded handgun.

Cops in Atlantic City say they observed two males walking near North Carolina and Caspian Avenues on the afternoon of December 11th. One of the males, the 16-year-old, was wanted for questioning into a recent active investigation.

The detectives attempted to stop the pair. The 16-year-old complied and was arrested after being found in possession of a loaded handgun. The other male, 14-years-old, attempted to run but was quickly apprehended. Cops say he was found in possession of a loaded handgun that had been reported stolen and 8.5 grams of cocaine.

The 16-year-old male from Atlantic City was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon.

The 14-year-old male from Atlantic City was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession of CDS with intent to distribute, and receiving stolen property.

Both were remanded to Harborfields Juvenile Detention Facility.
