PPE .... "Personal Protective Equipment" has become high in demand now during the coronavirus crisis around the world, the nation and right here in Ocean County.

Personal protective equipment, commonly referred to as "PPE", is equipment worn to minimize exposure to hazards that cause serious workplace injuries and illnesses.

Currently masks and face shields have become two of the most needed supplies in the battle against COVID 19.

One Ocean County man has begun to make shields. Eric Mewengkang of Toms River has begun making face shields at home on his 3-D printer and has delivered many now to Community Medical Center in Toms River.

Eric along with a friend and now 10 helpers are making nearly 200 face shields a day for area healthcare workers.

Another example of "Jersey Pride"  and it's happening right here in Toms River.
