This Is All You Need to Know Before Booking Your Summer Vacation
If you're one of the millions who wait until the last minute for everything, including your summer vacation plans, have no fear. You may be surprised to find these simple booking tips actually work!
July is the most expensive month to travel in the summer. However, according to CheapAir, you’ll save an average of $104 by traveling on a Tuesday rather than a Sunday. Their studies also found that July 26th is the cheapest day to travel this month.
As August rolls around, you’ll see the prices begin to drop. The same study found that on average, August is $42 less expensive than July.
Despite these findings, it’s important to remember that the price of airfare really depends on where you’re going. Expedia’s 2016 report names Europe as the most affordable vacation spot this year. Believe it or not, European rates have been on the decline since 2014.
As for popular North American vacation spots, there are certain weeks that stand out above the rest. YourFirstVisit.net suggests that when visiting Disney World, it's actually more affordable to wait until the end of the summer season as August and September generally show lower rates. The week of August 21st marks the end of large crowds and high prices in Disney World, which is probably due to kids going back to school.
If this is the kick you needed to use those vacation days, don't forget your escape is right in your backyard at Atlantic City International Airport. Remember what they say, "If you don't use it, you lose it!"
