‘The Morning Show’ Trailer: Jennifer Aniston’s First Series Since ‘Friends’
Jennifer Aniston has made a lot of movies since Friends ended in 2004, but she hasn’t done much on television. This fall, she finally returns to TV as one of the three huge stars on The Morning Show, one of Apple’s first original series. Aniston co-stars on the series, which is set in the world of morning TV news, with Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell — who hasn’t done much TV of his own since he left The Office during its seventh season in 2011.
Here’s the official synopsis for The Morning Show:
The news is only half the story. The Morning Show stars Academy Award-winner Reese Witherspoon, Emmy Award-winner Jennifer Aniston and Emmy Award-winner Steve Carell in a high-stakes drama that pulls back the curtain on early morning TV.
As if you didn’t have enough to watch already between Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, HBO Go, Criterion, Shudder, and a million other random streaming services, two more huge competitors are entering the world of streaming this fall. Disney+ is going to launch in November, with tons of classic Disney and Fox movies, and its own slate of originals. And Apple TV+ is coming around that time as well; Apple has previously released a trailer for For All Mankind, another of its new original programs. And eventually there’s going to be HBO Max, which is Warners’ streaming service, and NBCUniversal is supposedly starting their own service as well. How could all of these services possibly survive?
While there’s no official release date yet, Apple TV+ is set to debut some time this fall.
