The Fabulous “Hocus Pocus”! Enjoy the Drive-In in Berkeley Township, NJ

It's a tradition every Halloween for so many of my friends.

This is for Berkeley Township Residents only, sorry. This drive-in spectacular will be happening on Saturday, October 23rd, 2021, at 7 pm.

Mayor Amato and the Berkeley Township Recreation Department are pleased to sponsor "Hocus Pocus." And, the fun doesn't stop with just the movie; the Sanderson Sisters will be special guests at the drive-in.

"Hocus Pocus" is all about witchcraft and the Sanderson Sisters. They were punished years, and years, and years ago and accidentally brought back by a boy named Max trying to fit in after moving to Salem. The Sanderson Sisters are played by some of the best - Sarah Sanderson (Sarah Jessica Parker), Winifred Sanderson (Bette Midler), and Mary Sanderson (Kathy Najimy).

When the movie came out, it didn't get good reviews, and not a lot of people went to see it in 1993. But, through the years, it has become so, so popular. It's almost a cult following, and the Sanderson Sisters are still a very popular Halloween costume to this day.

In 1993, I was one of those movie-watchers that just didn't like it. Now, I love it, and I love having my girlfriends over for a "Hocus Pocus" Night. We have snacks and drinks, and some of my girlfriends dress up like one of the sisters. It's always such a fun night of laughs. This movie brings us all together.
