The New Jersey NAACP is calling for new leadership to head the State Police after a pair of reports said the agency discriminated against Black troopers.
"The original concept was actually a phone number, but due to the overwhelming call volume, we moved it to an automated form," said Jared Maples, director of the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness.
One man is charged with attempted murder, 2 others face weapons possession, and 5 women are accused of a related violent home invasion, prosecutors said.
