Mountain Lion

A couple walking their dog sees a mountain lion in Cape May County.

Earlier this year, there were reported sightings of a black panther in the Hamilton Township/Weymouth area.

Dozens of people have reported seeing mountain lions, or cougars, in New Jersey and there's even been a photo or two.

These eyewitness accounts have come from throughout the state - but the majority have come from two areas - in Sussex County in North Jersey and in the Cape May/Cumberland County area of South Jersey.

I share with you reports of a sighting from a couple in Dennis Township in Cape May County.

We've received several reports of others in New Jersey who also say they saw a mountain lion.

While the New Jersey Division of Wildlife - and others contend that these animals are not found in New Jersey, people are FINDING THESE ANIMALS IN NEW JERSEY --- or something that looks very similar.

A woman from South Jersey says she saw what she thinks was a mountain lion in Cumberland County Saturday night (November 19, 2022).

I am sincerely amazed at the number of emails I continue to receive about Mountain Lion or Cougar Sightings in New Jersey.
