Kids are just getting their summer vacations started. But, with that time off from school can also come concerns over food insecurity. Here are a dozen grocery items local food banks and food pantries need to have restocked to serve the community.

A Gloucester County man is giving back to his community by using his own home garage as a food pantry.

It's a scene becoming all too familiar across the country: Lines of cars waiting to receive food donations. Today, those vehicles were driven by casino workers to the former Shore Mall in Egg Harbor Township.

The Community FoodBank of New Jersey is creating emergency meal kits with nonperishable proteins, vegetables, pasta, tomato sauce, cereal and snack items — enough food to sustain a family for several days. And, right now, they're in need of donations.
