Atlantic City casinos

Is the worst over for jobs lost in the Atlantic City casino industry? That seems to be the conclusion of Casino Control Commission Chairman Matthew Levinson, in an interview with the Press of Atlantic City.

Some of Atlantic City's casinos experienced an increase in revenue for the month of February, winning $190 million from gamblers.

Revel Casino Hotel says it will shut down in September after failing to find a buyer in bankruptcy court.

From the day it opened last April, Revel insisted it was a different kind of casino.

With the economy in some trouble, seeing less disposable income for many, and the wake of competition for Atlantic City, any good news for business down there would be welcomed.  Today's news is not perfect, but it can be considered encouraging.
