Study Says New Jersey Is Among The States With The Best Marriages
We have the highest taxes, the most congestion, and a wicked cost of living, but one thing can't be taken away from us here in New Jersey. We are good at love.
And it's not just love that we're good at. It turns out the Garden State is one of the best states in the nation when it comes to a little thing called marriage.
And our ranking is good enough to put us in the top ten states in the nation when it comes to good marriages, according to a major publication.
New Jersey is apparently the 8th best marriage state in all of America according to Money Talks News, and that is enough to warm our already melted hearts.
And when you hear how long the average New Jersey marriage lasts, it will make you fall in love with love all over again. Our average marriage length is 20.6 years, and that's pretty impressive.
And here are some more stats that led us to the high ranking. Our share of married people is nearly 50%, while the state's share of divorced or separated people is barely over 10%.
So, there is no doubt that love and romance are alive and well in the Garden State, and that is really good news.
So let the people who don't live here say what they want about us and our state. We always have love to fall back on, and that is something to be proud of.
And not too long ago, we were ranked in the top 20 for most romantic states, too. So, we think the verdict is in. New Jersey is the state for love, or at least more so than we might have thought.
