Back in 2000, CBS brought in a mid-season replacement show mainly to fill space for minimal costs (as compared to a scripted show).  By that summer, Survivor was a monster hit, and reality TV has taken off since.  Have you ever wondered if you have what it takes to compete in a remote location against highly driven people, while finding your own food and building your own shelter, and the chance for $1 million?  You can audition in Atlantic City this month and meet one of the original Survivors!

The Trump Taj Majal will be the place to go and audition for the next installment of Survivor, on Sat. April 28th from Noon-3pm.  Word is Season 25 (which is what you'll be auditioning for)  is said to be filming in Caramoan Islands, Camarines Sur, Philippines.

Like many reality shows, there are some eligibility requirements you need to know about, and there are certain types of people that they will be looking for.  If you feel you are outgoing, adventurous, have a strong will, in sound physical shape, have an interesting background to entice CBS, and over 18, you may be just what Survivor would be looking for.

South Jersey resident and Season 1 competitor Gervase Peterson will be there to maybe give you some good tips on what to do in the audition process.  A Philly guy who has lived for some time in Willingboro, Peterson finished 7th in the 2000 season that saw that season's finale be viewed by roughly 52 Million people (with about 125 Million people watching some part of the finale, according to Nielsen). That moment changed the lives of all of the comeptitors, and Peterson has parlayed that Survivor run in several ventures.

Gervase has been seen modeling, co-owning a minor league basketball team, making appearances in other reality TV ventures, and has appeared in 7 films - his next one to be see him in is the comedy Mancation with former N*SYNC member Joey Fatone ("My Big Fat Greek Wedding") and Danica McKellar (Winnie from "The Wonder Years").

Good Luck to any who may try out, and you can more information right now at the Trump Taj Majal's website.
