South Jersey Teacher Charged with Sexual Assault on One of His Students
30 year-old Brantley Cesanek was charged on Wednesday with sexual assault towards of one his students at Cherokee High School, according to officials.
The student was around 16-17 years-old at the time of the assault.
Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo along with Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina explain that he faces a few different charges, including multiple counts of sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child and official misconduct.
Cesanek teaches Latin at Cherokee High School. He is accused of engaging in a sexual relationship with a student that goes back to 2016 and in 2017 as well.
The alleged sexual assaults took place in house in Haddon Township. Police were led to his home after an ongoing investigation.
He was arrested quietly on Tuesday and is currently being held at the Camden County Correctional Facility waiting for a detention hearing.
