Somers Point is Making Way for New Hilton Hotel on Route 52

Somers Point is making way for a Hilton Hotel right on Route 52, or MacArthur Boulevard, hopefully by summer 2018.

Press of Atlantic City reports, the site is being developed by PRA Development/Management and is directly across from the Windjammer Restaurant.

Home2 Suites by Hilton is set to be four-plus stories high, complete with 114 rooms. and easy access to Ocean City's Boardwalk since it's only a short distance from Somers Point Bridge.

So far, developers are positive of the hotel's success because of the brand attached. The name "Hilton" alone should help navigate people to their hotel versus the two motels nearby.

Greg Sykora, Head of Somers Point's Economic Development Advisory Council, tells Press of AC: "it brings a whole new layer of tourism to the town."
