Meet the Show
Brooke is a Marconi Award winning radio host, TV personality, new mom and small town kid living the big city dream. Working in morning radio for 13 years, Brooke has hosted Top 40 radio’s first all-female morning drive show in Spokane (KZZU-FM), served as music director and morning co-host in Portland (KKRZ-FM) and started another all-female morning show in Seattle (KQMV-FM). In 2011, she met her radio match in Jubal Flagg and “Brooke and Jubal in the Morning” was born. Only 4 years later, the show was launched into national syndication. Brooke & Jubal were recently named the “Large Market Personality of the Year” at the 2016 national Marconi Radio Awards and most recently received the “Best of Show” at the 2017 NAB Show. Outside of radio, Brooke spent 3 seasons as a host of FOX TV’s “Dish Nation”, a nationally syndicated entertainment news program, and has had an ongoing segment on KING 5’s New Day for over 4 years. She was voted by Evening Magazine one of the “Top 25 Most Beautiful People in the Northwest” alongside Ryan Reynolds, Isaiah Mustafa and Macklemore (although she’s still pretty sure there was a mistake) and is humbled to have served as a spokesperson for the Komen Foundation (recipient of the Outstanding Media Partner Award 2014) and the American Heart Association. Brooke grew up in a town of 700, that still doesn’t have a stoplight, and made the leap to the big city of Seattle in 2007. She is currently doing her best to balance work and life. She counts herself lucky to be married to an amazing man Michael, who has the humor of a 12-year-old and the cholesterol of a 65-year-old. As proud parents to a toddler & new baby boy, they are living in a constant state of sleep deprived, delirious, life altering joy.
Jubal is a standup comedian, a Marconi Award winning radio host, television personality, and comedy writer. Entertaining audiences on-stage and on radio for over 15 years, Jubal is known for his quick wit and often strange observations. Currently hosting the nationally syndicated radio show “Brooke & Jubal in the Morning” he is also touring nationally as a stand-up comedian. The son of two ministers, Jubal attributes his quirky sense of humor to, well, growing up with the name Jubal. He points out, “my name is from the Bible and translates to the father of the harp and the flute, but growing up with the name Jubal I found out it actually translates to beat me up and take my lunch money.” Jubal started his radio career with a brief stint in Stockton, California before moving back to his hometown of Los Angeles to take a job as the producer of Fox Sports Radio’s “Tony Bruno Morning Extravaganza.” From there he moved to Seattle and eventually took over mornings on MOViN 92.5 before the show launched in to syndication in 2015. Making national news for his on-radio prank calls & a few viral videos, Jubal was also awarded as the “Best Radio Personality” in the 2016 Best of Western Washington Contest. In addition to radio host, Jubal writes and produces comedy bits and daily topical jokes that are used by his “competition” at radio stations nationwide. He also spent 3 seasons as one of the hosts of Fox TV’s “Dish Nation”.Jubal is currently expanding his comedy career while continuing to host “Brooke & Jubal in the Morning.” The 2016 release of his stand-up album “Feral” has received much acclaim and is available on his website teamjubal.com. Continually honing his craft as a comedian, fans can catch Jubal selling out comedy clubs and theaters nationwide. Tour dates can be found at uglytickets.com. “Remember to be inspired ’cause inspiration is inspirational because it’s inspiring.” – Jubal Flagg
