Revel Adds Sugarland and Kid Rock To Their June Schedule
With all the buzz in Atlantic City around the Revel Resort, their Ovation Hall has added 2 more big shows to their growing list of amazing talent that is a part of the launch of the newest spot just past the Boardwalk.
June kicks off big at the 5,000-seat Ovation Hall with the rapper/rocker/country singing/not your typical pop star from Detroit. Kid Rock brings all sides of his to Revel Resort on Sat., June 2nd.
Bob Ritchie (Kid's birth name) has come along way from his early start at fame in the 90s with 3 CD releases with 3 different record labels (his 2nd CD was released by Continuum Records - a label that was based in Northern New Jersey). 1998 saw his breakthrough with Devil Without A Cause - originally released on his own imprint, Atlantic Records picked up the innovative project with many sides to this talented musician. The CD went on to sell over 11 Million copies in the U.S., and since then has made his career in music on his terms.
Kid Rock has scored 11 Top-20 Rock hits, a pair of Top-20 Country hits, and 3 major Pop Hits - "Only God Knows Why", "All Summer Long" (his biggest hit of his career to date), and "Picture" with Sheryl Crow. Whether he raps on "Cowboy" or "Bawitdaba", or brings a rebel country vibe with "Born Free", the many layers of Kid will make for a great show.
Later in June, the country superstar duo Sugarland take to the Ovation Hall amphitheater stage on Fri., June 15th. With 12 Top-10 Country hits - 5 of those reaching #1, and 4 others to #2 - Jennifer Nettles and Krystian Bush have been a force over the last decade having sold over 12 Million CD's with their 3 releases. Their 2010 release ("The Incredible Machine") has produced their highest selling single of their career with "Stuck Like Glue" (this is also their highest charting single on the Billboard Hot 100 at #17).
If you are a fan of Sugarland, you can help set the group's playlist through Facebook, Twitter, and even signs you create for the concert. One question for this show is whether Jon Bon Jovi would come down from his Central Jersey home to join the duo on stage - remember that Jennifer Nettles scored a #1 Country hit with Bon Jovi with "Who Says You Can't Go Home".
Tickets for both shows will be on-sale this Friday @ 10 through Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster.com, or the charge by phone (1-800-745-3000).
