Prosecutor: Somers Point Man Shot and Killed Saturday in Pleasantville, NJ
Authorities say it was a man from Somers Point who was shot and killed over the weekend in Pleasantville.
Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill says 41-year-old Ivan Smith was found laying on the sidewalk in front of 914 North Main Street with a gunshot wound just after 9 AM Saturday.
Shill's office says after officers arrived,
"Medical personnel also responded to the scene and performed CPR, but they were unable to revive Smith. Smith was pronounced deceased at the scene."
This is an active and cooperative investigation between the Major Crimes Unit of the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office and the Pleasantville Police Department.
