Pleasantville Grad Nia Ali Captures Silver in Rio
The U.S. women swept the podium in the 100-meter hurdles final Wednesday night, the first country to accomplish the feat at the Olympics since the event started in 1972.
Brianna Rollins won the race in 12.48, followed by teammates Nia Ali, a 2006 Pleasantville High School graduate (12.59) and Kristi Castlin (12.61).
Ali recently joined Dave O'Sullivan on the South Jersey Sports report to discuss being a part of the USA Olympic team.
"It's incredible, its really been super overwhelming," Ali said about a month ago on the South Jersey Sports Report when talking about making the Olympic team.
