Penn State has raised over $9.7 million during THON 2016 for pediatric research over the weekend.

The exact total number is *drum roll please* $9,770,332.32!

This year's 46-hour dance marathon had over 700 dancers where they couldn't sleep OR sit the whole time. See, I love dancing but I don't know if I can do it for 46-hours! But, for a good cause like this one I totally would.

The Penn State Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon is the world's largest student-run fundraiser, according to NBC Philadelphia.

All the money goes to Penn State Milton S. Hershey's Medical Center to help young cancer patients and their families.

Last year alone, Penn State raised $13 million.
