NJ State Trooper Delivers Baby on Garden State Parkway
A New Jersey State Trooper made an unexpected delivery Friday on his way home from work.
Sgt. Sean Boag was in Middletown Township, New Jersey when, around 4 p.m., he responded to a call that a woman was going into labor on the Garden State Parkway northbound near mile marker 110.
The expectant mom, from Lakewood, was en route to a hospital in New Brunswick, but the baby couldn't wait.
The baby's father pulled their Toyota Camry to the side of the Parkway and called 911.
With Sgt. Boag's assistance, the mom delivered a healthy baby girl just minutes later, 6abc.com reports.
Mom and baby were taken to Riverview Medical Center where they are said to be resting comfortably.
