NJ State Police: 14 Arrested, Six Guns Seized from Party Bus on I-195
Officials with the New Jersey State Police say 14 people aboard a party bus were arrested and numerous guns were seized following a traffic stop on Interstate 195 early Halloween morning.
Troopers say they learned that a,
"party bus carrying multiple occupants in possession of weapons was traveling through Mercer County and that it would return to the Trenton area via Interstate 195. On October 31, at 3:30 a.m., detectives ... located and stopped the bus on Interstate 195 in Hamilton Township. As detectives approached the bus, they observed the occupants attempting to conceal several weapons within the bus."
On the bus, cops say they recovered three 9mm handguns, including two ghost guns, a .45 caliber handgun, a .40 caliber handgun, a .380 caliber handgun, three high-capacity magazines, hollow-point ammunition, and promethazine, suspected codeine syrup.
22-year-old Javon McKinney, 20-year-old Maurice Nance, 25-year-old Kena West, 24-year-old Jahmel Johnson, 20-year-old Jaquan Harper, 24-year-old Zaire Leary, 25-year-old Daquane McRae, 22-year-old Khalil Glanton, 27-year-old Daquan Lewis, 31-year-old Aaron Turner, 23-year-old Tahvon Goss, 22-year-old Harold Ruiz, all of Trenton; a juvenile female from Ewing, and 21-year-old Makai Brown of Atlanta, GA, were all arrested and charged.
The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
