In the effort not to sound like too much of a party pooper, hopefully July will be a better month for outdoor enthusiasts in South Jersey.

As a result of Governor Murphy extending NJ's state-of-emergency another thirty days, all camping and previously-made camping reservations have been cancelled through June 30th. This means if you were looking forward to a tent camping trip with the family in Bass River, Wharton State Forest, or Belleplain, you'll have to wait until at least July for those plans to come to fruition.

It seems like every time the state takes one step forward, it then takes two steps back, right? We can expect certain businesses to open this month, but can't camp in our own tents?

At this point, who knows if or when Jersey residents will get to camp this year. Murphy will, presumably, make another judgement call at the end of the month.
