New Jersey, The Government Might Still Owe You 10K Dollars
There was no playbook for COVID. It just happened to us and at first, we scrambled. Some of us got help from the government and some of us didn't and today I found out some of you may be leaving money on the table. How much? In some cases, over 10 thousand dollars.
Times are tough and we need money. Just the other day I went to buy myself a salad from the salad bar at lunch and it cost over $20! I could not believe it at the self-check-out. I actually asked an employee to check their scale because I thought it was broken. Costs are rising and it can be hard to keep up.
Some got relief from the government and some may have not gotten enough. It turns out not that not everyone got what they were supposed to and you could be eligible for over 10 thousand extra dollars! That's worth looking into right?
The government gave out $931 billion (that’s billion with a B) dollars through the pandemic. However, there are about 10 million people who are still able to get upwards of 10 grand. This is coming right from the horse's mouth, the IRS released this press release about it.
If you missed the April tax deadline, those who qualify should get the paperwork in before Nov 15th. I'm pretty amazed that it could get up to five figures. Even if you got some aid over COVID, there is a chance you are still leaving some money on the table so make sure to get on it!
