New Jersey Passing Law to Help Protect Rideshare Passengers
Governor Phil Murphy is set to sign "Sami's Law" to help protect New Jersey rideshare passenger.
The law is named for Robbinsville native Samantha Josephson, who was was killed in South Carolina in March after mistakenly getting into a car she thought was the Uber she ordered.
"Sami's Law" will require rideshare drivers working for Lyft and Uber to display lighted signs on their vehicles to prove their authenticity, reports 6abc.com.
