Guess what New Jersey?  Your kids may not be the only passengers that need seat belts...

There is a chance that New Jersey may be the first state in the U S of A to require pets to wear safety belts.

Will this be the end of the traditional days of ol' Lady, Bruno, or Oscar to hang is head out the window? For the most part, yes.  At this time, the proposed law is specifically targeted toward that pets that ride in the back of pickup trucks.

If State Assemblywoman L. Grace Spencer gets her way, you will be paying up to a 1,000 dollar fine if caught.

That sounds reasonable.

There are already states that ban people from driving with their pets on their laps, but New Jersey would be the first to require actual seat belts on little Molly.
