Luckily, this one's not completely cancelled. South Jersey plungers were bummed to find out that they wouldn't be able to celebrate a special tradition in Wildwood currently going on 15 years. The annual 'Polar Bear Plunge' hosted in Wildwood was pushed back due to COVID-19 which dashed many people's New Year's dreams and plans.

Good news, though! The plunging WILL happen this year. Wildwood Video Archive has reported that the new dates for Wildwood's 'Polar Bear Plunge' have been confirmed for two months from now. The plunge will happen on March 27th for all who'd like to participate. You have to pre-register, though. You can find all of that information HERE.

If you don't want to wait until March to take the plunge, there is still another option available to you. You could virtually plunge and send your footage into the organization. If you chose that route, you'd still register your plunge, but you'd complete on your own time with your own company. You do, however, need to make sure you document your plunge in the form of a video that you can forward to the appropriate parties. All of the information you need to participate in the virtual plunge can be found HERE.

The proceeds from Wildwood's plunge go directly to help out the Special Olympics of New Jersey.
