The Eagles are bringing back Nate Sudfeld.

It didn't feel like a certainty that Philadelphia would re-signed Sudfeld given the team passed him over to be the backup last season, instead luring veteran backup Josh McCown out of retirement.

However, the Eagles announced on Tuesday that they have agreed to terms with Sudfeld on their official Twitter account.

Sudfeld entered 2019 as Philadelphia No. 2 quarterback behind Carson Wentz, but ended up spending the season as the teams No. 3 after a wrist injury in the preseason.

The 26-year old knows the Eagles’ system as well as anyone having spent the past two seasons in Philly.

Sudfeld was signed to their practice squad in 2017 from the Washington Redskins, who drafted him in the sixth round of the 2016 draft out of Indiana.
