Authorities in Millville say a 66-year old local man is dead, the victim of being stabbed to death by his own son.

The Cumberland County Prosecutor says at 9:44am Friday, Millvlle Police officers responded to a home in the 400 block of Carlton Avenue, where they found Gary Tedesco, 66,  dead of apparent stab wounds. Police quickly determined that the wounds were inflicted by Tedesco's son, Michael Tedesco, 38.

Gary Tedesco's mother, Stella Tedesco was knocked to the ground by Michael during the commission of the crime, but she did not require medical attention.

Police learned that Michael Tedesco had fled the scene in his father's car. That vehicle was recovered by police near 6th and Pine Streets.

The Prosecutor's Office says Michael Tedesco was found and taken into custody Friday evening. He's being held in the Cumberland County Jail.

Thus far, Michael Tedesco is facing charges of Murder, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Robbery.
