Manhunt For Inmate In Hamilton Township

Atlantic County law enforcement officials are searching for a man who escaped from police custody on Tuesday night.

The suspect, 39 year old Shane Hopkins, got away while he was being transported to the Atlantic County Justice Facility in Mays Landing.

Hopkins is a 5'3" white male with brown hair, brown eyes, 135 lbs. He may be wearing jail-issued orange clothing.

Authorities ask anybody to contact 9-1-1 immediately if they spot the suspect, but do not attempt to apprehend.
