Popular Fast Food Restaurant Chain Suddenly Closes Busy NJ Location
Those craving a quick meal from their favorite fast food restaurant in one New Jersey town will have to make quite a drive to grab their next order of fries.
At least from this chain, that is.
The reason? It looks like this particular restaurant had their lease expire.
Even more interesting is what this once-busy eatery now looks like inside (lots of pictures below).
Bye, Bye Wendy's
Within the past few days, Wendy's on the White Horse Pike in Hammonton, right at the intersection with Routes 206 and 54, has closed for good.
While I was not able to find out exactly when it opened, the earliest Google Maps picture of the area from 2008 shows it alive and well, so it's been at least 15 years.
This Wendy's did face some stiff competition with Burger King, Taco Bell, McDonald's, Applebee's, and the Silver Coin Diner all within walking distance.

The bad news is that if you're craving a Frosty or a Biggie Bag, you're gonna have to do some serious driving. These are now the closest Wendy's to Hammonton:

- Black Horse Pike, Egg Harbor Township — 30 minutes away
