Fatal Shooting Sends Vineland, NJ, Man to Prison for 30 Years
- Eric Bundy-Johnson of Vineland will be spending the next 30 years behind bars
A shooting in 2024 that claimed the life of a Bridgeton woman is sending a Vineland man to prison for three decades.
The Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office says on Monday, 35-year-old Eric Bundy-Johnson of Vineland was sentenced under a plea agreement to 30 years in state prison without the possibility of parole on a first-degree murder charge.
He was also sentenced to a concurrent ten-year prison term for first-degree attempted murder and five years for second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
The charges stem from a shooting in Millville on October 26th, 2024, when Bundy-Johnson fired numerous rounds into a car that two individuals occupied.
Bonnie Hitchens of Bridgeton was shot multiple times and later died from her injuries. Kevin Wise, who was also inside the vehicle, was shot; he was treated at Cooper University Hospital and released.
