Ventnor, NJ Police Officer Charged With Salacious Crimes

The Atlantic County, New Jersey Prosecutor’s Office has charged a Ventnor City Police Officer with a myriad of salacious criminal charges as follows:

Ventnor City Police Officer Ryan Bonanni

Police Officer Ryan M. Bonanni, 24 years old from Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, was charged with:

• Second-Degree Official Misconduct,
• Second-Degree Computer Theft.
• Three counts of Third-Degree Invasion of Privacy.

Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Has Revealed The Following Salacious Accusations

On July 6, 2025, an adult female with the initials B.W. was arrested by officers from the Ventnor City Police Department. While she was in police custody, it is alleged that Officer Bonanni utilized his position as a police officer to access surveillance videos of B.W. while she was in a holding cell in various stages of undress and engaging in a sexual act. Bonanni recorded these videos onto his personal cellular phone and subsequently sent these videos to other individuals through the social messaging platform "Snapchat." In addition to the videos and text messages, video "captions" pertaining to B.W. were also located on Bonanni's cell phone, said the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The Investigation Continues

This criminal incident is being investigated by the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Professional Standards and Accountability Unit.
