Popular Hamilton Mall store in Mays Landing, NJ, not closing but expanding
We have some good news to report about a popular store inside Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing.
Norman's Hallmark in Mays Landing, NJ, expanding
Norman's Hallmark, located down by Macy's, is not closing. In fact, they're getting ready to double down.
This past Friday, word began to spread that a new sign for Norman's Hallmark had been installed above an empty storefront in the Consumer Square Shopping Center in Mays Landing (where Target and Kohl's are located), right across the street from the mall.
That new store will be between Old Navy, Ulta Beauty, Kirkland's, and Bath & Body Works.
Many, including myself, openly wondered (if not assumed) that the Hallmark store inside the mall would be closing. After all, having two stores that close together doesn't make much sense, especially in an era where businesses are cutting corners and consolidating as much as possible.
However, we did point out that Dollar Tree just opened a new store right behind Hamilton Mall and they have an existing store in Consumer Square, so it wouldn't be all that unusual for two stores that are only a few thousand feet apart to be open.
And that's exactly what Norman's Hallmark is doing.

A spokesperson for the greeting card chain told us,
We are very excited to be opening a new store in Consumer Square Shopping Center later this summer. While the new location is nearby our Hamilton Mall store, we intend to keep both open at this time. We have been a part of the Hamilton Mall community since it opened, and we plan to take care of our customers there.
Norman's has already started hiring for their new Consumer Square store and they need employees for their existing store in Hamilton Mall — numerous job postings can be found on their website.
