Pedestrian hurt, cops search for hit-and-run driver in Washington Twp., NJ
Authorities in Gloucester County are investigating a hit-and-run accident in the middle of the night that left a pedestrian injured.
The Washington Township Police Department says the crash happened just after 2:30 early Wednesday morning on Hurffville-Cross Keys Road near Chestnut Ridge Middle School between East Holly Avenue and Old Mill Road.
A preliminary investigation revealed a Hyundai, possibly a Sonata, hit a pedestrian in the southbound lane of the roadway.
The Hyundai fled the scene and police say it should have front-end damage to the hood, grill, and bumper.
Police did not reveal the extent of the injuries to the person who was walking.
