Pedestrian Critically Injured in Galloway Accident
A pedestrian is in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle in Galloway late Tuesday night.
Galloway Township Police said at about 11:10 PM, they were called to the area of S. Pomona Rd. and Langley Ave. for a report of a person lying in the roadway.
At the scene, they found Domingo Lopez-Lopez in the southbound lane of S. Pomona Rd. unconscious and unresponsive.
Preliminary Investigation Details
Police say their preliminary investigation showed that a driver, Jhoanssel Castro, was traveling southbound in the outside lane of S. Pomona Rd. when he struck the pedestrian who was walking westbound in the middle of the road toward Langley Ave.
The pedestrian was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Division where he is listed as critical.
The road was closed for about two hours while the accident was being investigated.
